About The Project
The Gas Agency System is an enterprise-grade full-stack web platform that digitalizes the complete lifecycle of gas cylinder booking and delivery management. It mirrors a real-world government-compliant gas agency portal with strict quota enforcement (12 cylinders per year per user), UPI + Cash on Delivery payment flows, and a comprehensive admin backend.
The user-facing portal allows cylinder booking, UPI payment submission with admin approval, real-time delivery tracking with booking event logs, and receipt/invoice downloads. Users can view their full quota history and remaining allowance.
The admin dashboard provides analytics (revenue, bookings, deliveries, user stats), booking management (approve/reject), inventory management with batch tracking, stock reservation to prevent overbooking, delivery partner management with zone assignment, and a customer support contact system. PDF invoices are generated via Puppeteer.
The tech stack is Next.js 15 App Router with TypeScript (98.2% TypeScript codebase), Prisma ORM on PostgreSQL (Railway cloud), NextAuth.js for authentication, Zod for schema validation, React Hook Form, Framer Motion, and Nodemailer for email notifications. Setup scripts handle admin creation, password changes, and environment configuration interactively.
